The Garmire Laboratory in the Department of Computational Medicine & Bioinformatics is seeking a Bioinformatician-Intermediate to develop and apply deep-learnng and machine learning methods to integrate genomics, pathology, and electronic health record data for disease diagnosis and prediction analysis. This position will also provide management opportunities to guide the work of students and staff.

  • Develop and apply deep-learning and machine learning methods to integrate genomics, pathology and electronic health record data for disease diagnosis and prediction analysis.

Required Qualifications*

  • MS degree from data science, computer science, or other closely related field.
  • Experience in at least two domains in characteristic of the bioinformatics, including at least one biological/biomedical/clinical science/and one quantitative/informatics/computing science, with aptitude for others
  • Excellent programming skills in languages such as R and Python.
  • Good interpersonal communication skills.

Desired Qualifications*

  • Two years working experience as full time professional.

Background Screening
