We are seeking two patent agents to join its Patent Practice Group in anyone of our offices in Michigan, Washington DC or Chicago. The position involves drafting and prosecuting patent applications in the U.S. and other countries and advising clients as to the patentability of inventions.

Responsibilities

Assist in evaluation, preparation and prosecution of patents and patent applications. Provide support for patent enforcement, licensing and business transactions. Perform infringement and validity analysis and general portfolio management. Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements

2-4 years of experience with patent drafting and prosecution experience. An advanced degree in organic chemistry; OR molecular biology, cell biology or immunology. Must have research experience in organic chemistry, preferably medicinal chemistry; OR in molecular biology, immunology, genetics, cell biology and/or microbiology. A PhD is preferred for both positions & Pharmaceutical and Biotechnology patent experience. Strong academic credentials required. USPTO registration. Self-starter, team player.
