Senior Software Engineer

We are seeking a software engineer to support our needs in creating prototypes and finished devices for the medical device and life sciences industries. We are looking for someone with a diverse and hands-on skill set who isn’t afraid to take incomplete and ambiguous requirements and find creative solutions.

The candidate will be responsible for overseeing and contributing to all software development aspects of our projects, including:

• Defining and refining system and software requirements
• Architecting and documenting the software design
• Supporting the team in documenting system designs according to medical device regulations
• Investigating, prototyping, and delivering new and innovative design solutions
• Designing, developing, and verifying firmware, drivers, and APIs for embedded systems
• Developing and running tests
• Working with in2being team members to understand the overall system and how each feature is implemented

The candidate should have the following qualifications:

• At least 5 years experience including involvement in all stages of concept through production
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
• Highly motivated, organized, and able to work on multiple projects at the same time
• A desire to maintain clean, well-organized, and well documented code
• Experience with version control and software project management
• Experience in embedded firmware development is desirable
• Experience working in a regulated industry is desirable
• Ability to take projects from concept, and requirements, through design and implementation
• Good documentation skills
• Mechanical and/or electronics design skills a plus

You will be trained on the aspects of medical device products and their regulatory environments and become a resident expert on medical device software.
